The 500 BHN Sheets and Plates consist of a mix of carbon, manganese, chromium, nickel, and boron, which provides increased wear resistance and strength. These plates have very good mechanical properties with tensile strength 1400–1700 MPa and higher yield strength than 1000 MPa. Their 500 Brinell hardness provides excellent toughness and abrasion resistance. Although they are hard, they have good weldability and formability, which suits them for fabrication in industries. They are best suited for high-impact and abrasion conditions due to their strength and toughness.
